This months story to share: Singing Your Praises!

Dear Friends and members of the Minneapolis Area Synod:

Christ is risen!

Did you sing on Easter morning?

Of course you did! The great hymns of Easter morning define the resurrection worship experience for many of us. Helping local congregations sing God’s praises is one small part of what your recent Mission Support offering is accomplishing.

Through your generosity synod congregations can develop a richer, deeper worship experience for their current members while learning to welcome those unaccustomed to life in a worshiping community.

Your offering substantially funds a workshop called Energizing Worship, offered next month in the Minneapolis Area Synod. Instead of a focus on one specific style of worship, participants learn to look at the connection between worship in their congregation and their unique mission field. The leader, Cathy Townley, helps congregations craft worship experiences to nourish both those already in the pew and those who are not yet there. Thanks to the support of congregations like yours, many congregations will be better equipped both to worship and to welcome.
